The Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra is one of the oldest symphony orchestras in the world and also a foundational pillar of culture in the town. During its existence, it played a major role in many significant music events, for example in the premiere of Dvořák’s "From the New World" symphony in continental Europe in 1894. It organizes symphonic, chamber and colonnade concerts as well as the music festivals of "Karlovy Vary Dvořák’s Autumn Festival" and "Beethoven Festival Days".
The orchestra also invites famous Czech and international soloists and conductors for cooperation. The concerts take place in Grandhotel Ambassador, Grandhotel Pupp and the Windsor Carlsbad hotel – Spa III.
