The botanic garden in Bečov with an area of 12 hectares was originally one of the most important historical collection gardens in Bohemia.
The original garden is the work of the castle gardener Jan Koditek who, being heavily supported by Duke Beaufort-Spontin and Count Silva Tarouca of Průhonice, designed and built the whole complex in the early 20th century.
The garden has been gradually renovated since 2005. It has become a place to relax, get some knowledge and information, entertainment and to please all senses.
