The Jáchymov in the Mirror of Time exhibition will introduce you to the history of the town, the geology and mineralogy of the Ore Mountains, archaeological finds from the Royal Mint, 16th-century ore mining in the cellars, a large-scale mobile model of the mines, coinage, and numismatics. Check out the newly exhibited collection of paintings by Gustav Zindel, a painter of the Ore Mountains, samples of the works of pastor Johann Mathesius and composer Nickl Hermann.
Get to know the ethnography of the Ore Mountains - agricultural machinery, tools, and historical photographs, an Ore Mountains room with furniture, and musical instruments. The exhibition also includes documentation of political prisoner camps near the Jáchymov uranium mines after 1950, the history of the Jáchymov radon spa, and a period doctor's office, and an underground with a lapidary. Interesting are the moving exhibits using QR codes: "An Ordinary Afternoon in the Museum... Or Not?"
