Ostrov Summer Palace

Did you know that there is a place in Ostrov that was once nicknamed the "eighth wonder of the world"? Ostrov Summer Palace was the heart of one of the most beautiful parks in Europe. It was built by the Dukes of Saxe-Lauenburg as their representative residence and the best Italian masters of their time worked on its decoration.

In addition to the mural with ancient gods, which already in the 17th century boldly showed the Sun as the center of the universe, and the grottos - artificial caves with pools - you will also see an extensive collection of historical porcelain and, during the season, also author's exhibitions of contemporary art.
